The East Brighton Trust launches its second round of grants of up to £300 to
support community groups in East Brighton (defined as Bates Estate, Higher
Bevendean, Manor Farm, Moulsecoomb, Saunders Park and Whitehawk).
Warren Carter, Chair of the grants committee said "We like to support the
small voluntary groups that make such a massive difference to the area. During
the first round of grants awards we supported 11 organisations; everything from
football kits for youngsters, to day trips for pensioners."
Application forms can be picked up from many East Brighton community venues or
by phoning 01273 818999.
Completed application forms must be returned by February 28th 2009. Successful
applicants will be notified by the 30th April.
The Trust, which owns three properties in East Brighton, uses a percentage of
its profits to provide a small grant scheme for groups in the East Brighton
area.
