Greenwash - the unspeakable practise of using eco friendly notions to promote less than sound realities is fraudulent and must not be tolerated.
A group of ne'er do wells claim to be living the good life on Whitehawk Hill as a "commune." In the Argus on Wednesday 7th January they claimed to not be on benefits and to be living as a community.
Their "leader" however, is not what he claims. The mother of his children lives in a five bedroomed house and claims benefits. His girlfriend lives on benefits in a home also.
This so called leader has a criminal record for violence. Social services have advised the mother of his children to keep them away from Whitehawk hill because of his violence.
Last June he accepted a caution for common assault on a neighbouring allotmenteer.
He makes his money from <snip> vegetables from other peoples' plots (including the community food project) and selling them.<snip>.
Brighton and Hove City Council have every right to want rid of this man.
Eco warriors should speak out against such people using greenwash to further their own aims: freeloading on the back of tax payers.
They hold parties all night parties, they make a mess and have driven many decent people away from Whitehawk with their bullying tactics.
If the Argus journalist had asked around, he'd have soon established this to be fact.
