This year sees the 75th birthday of Whitehawk school and as the estate was founded in the 1930s’ it is also a fitting birthday year for the whole of Whitehawk.

To mark this event the school in partnership with East Brighton Bygones, and the community is planning a series of celebratory events in the week of March 22nd 2010.

These will include a series of exhibitions in the school, birthday parties for the children, and the collecting of personal memories of the school by past pupils. Further work and activities are being planned but these will need your help’

If you are an old school pupil we would like to hear from you—what are your memories?

  • Would you be prepared to share your memories with current school pupils?
  • Have you any articles, photographs or memorabilia from your time at school that you could loan or donate to the exhibition?
  • Have you completed a “Where are you Now” form detailing your time at school?
  • Can you sign up to the dedicated “Friends Reunited” site?
  • Would you like to be involved in the planning of the celebration?

If you can help, would like to get involved, or would like further information, then please either phone the school on

681377 or send an email to: bygones @ses-partnership.co.uk or contact us at this website
