East Brighton Trust is an independent not-for-profit company who are responsible for the management of a property portfolio which consists of Westergate Business Centre (Moulsecoomb), Manor Road shop & flat (Whitehawk) and Barcombe Road shop & flat (Moulsecoomb).

The net profit from these properties is reinvested back into the local community through the Trusts’ Grants Programme. The Trust covers the East Brighton area of Whitehawk, Manor Farm, Saunders Park, Bates Estate, Higher Bevendean and Moulsecoomb.

Since May 2010 the Trust is now also a ‘Community Interest Company’ (c.i.c) – whilst the company always intended to exist for community benefit this is now assured and any assets and profits are dedicated to community purposes.

The Trust is looking to appoint two new Resident Directors to the Board. Each Director will serve on the Board for the next four years to help play a key role in developing the company further so that it can continue to help regenerate the East Brighton area for those who both live and work here.
