New Funding Opportunity for Groups and Organisations in Whitehawk and Manor Farm

“East Brighton: Building on Success” Grants 2010
Exceptional, one-off, awards of up to £2,000 for third sector¹ organisations with an annual income of up to £50,000 based in, and supporting residents of, East Brighton.


Part of Brighton and Hove’s “New Deal for Communities Succession Strategy 2009” the city council’s Communities Team are administering a one-off grants scheme using NDC 2009-10 final allocation on behalf of council and its dedicated cross-party Members Advisory Group on Grants (MAG).
Grants will not be made towards core costs but are specifically towards one of two types of project activity designed to help improve your organisation’s longer-term sustainability as outlined below.

A Total of £37,000 is available for organisations to apply for in relation to grants of up to £2,000 which must be for:

Organisational Development
Investing in professional skills / services from specialist providers including: fundraising support, business planning, market research, public relations, consultancy etc.
or
Infrastructure Development
Purchasing  items of equipment that will help your organisation operate more efficiently or initiate new income generating activities eg. ICT equipment such as a printer or scanner, outdoor events /play equipment, white goods for community kitchen facilities etc.

DEADLINE FOR RETURN OF FORMS: 31 January 2010
DECISION DATE: Late February 2010
GRANT MONIES RELEASED: Late March 2010
PROJECT COMPLETION DATE: 30 June 2010
