You may already know about our plans for a major redevelopment of the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. The redevelopment, which will affect just under half the hospital site, includes improving the Sussex Cancer Centre, relocating and expanding the Regional Centre for Neurosciences (Hurstwood Park), replacing the medical and elderly care wards and creating a Major Trauma Centre. We are aiming to submit our application for planning approval to Brighton & Hove City Council in early 2011. As part of our ongoing engagement with the local community, I would like to invite you to an exhibition of the plans: Where: Hove Town Hall When: Friday 15th October from 11 am - 7 pm - Heritage Group Preview Saturday 16th October from 11 am - 4 pm - Official Launch - All Welcome Monday 18th October to Friday 22nd October from 11 am - 7 pm The event on Friday 15th October is a preview for those with a particular interest in the heritage aspects of the redevelopment. In addition to a general design discussion, specialist heritage consultants will be on-hand to answer any specific questions you might have about the designs. The exhibition is open to all so please pass this invitation on to anyone who might be interested.
